The Valuecase Editor is where you build and maintain templates and spaces. It combines a live preview (what customers will see) with a simple sidebar for managing pages, content, settings, and internal setup steps.

Use this article to understand where to find what. For step-by-step instructions, follow the linked deep-dive articles in each section.

How the Editor is Structured

The interface has three main areas:

  • 1-2.: Top navigation (move around, rename, preview, share)

  • 3.: Main preview / editor (edit content directly on the page)

  • 4-8.: Left sidebar (checklist, pages, blocks, activity, settings, AI)

1–2. Top Navigation

Go back and rename (top-left)

  • Use the Home icon to return to the dashboard, or click on Spaces / Templates to return to the space and template list, respectively.

  • Click the template/space name to rename it (in screenshot: "Adidas").

Preview and share (top-right)

  • Preview (full screen) shows the template/space exactly like your customers will experience it.

    • Press ESC to exit full-screen preview.

  • Share is available in spaces only. Use it to invite external stakeholders (typically customers).

3. Main Preview (WYSIWYG Editing)

The center area is a live, click-to-edit preview.

What you can do here:

  • Scroll through the space like a visitor would

  • Click into text to edit it directly

  • Update content inside blocks (depending on the block type, e.g., upload files, adjust inputs)

  • Use the floating three-dot menu next to blocks for additional actions (copy block, copy link to block, record block introduction, delete block)

4. Checklist (Internal Only)

  • In templates, you configure the checklist (the steps others should follow later).

  • In spaces, you work through the checklist to finalize the space.

Checklists help you finalize and personalize a space created from a template. The template owner defines steps so your team knows exactly what to do before sharing the space.

Important: The checklist is internal only and is never visible to customers.

5. Content Management (Pages, Blocks, and Items)

The Pages and Blocks sections are where you structure your content and control what external customers can see.

Pages

  • Click + New Page to add a page

  • Rename, reorder, copy, or remove pages via the three-dot menu

  • Use the visibility toggle to show or hide a page

    • OFF = hidden from external customers, but still kept in the space so you can turn it on later

    • Visibility toggles can be controlled manually or automatically via content automation or workflows

Blocks and items inside blocks

  • Add new content by clicking + Add block, then select a block type from the block picker

  • Reorder blocks and manage them via drag & drop and the three-dot menu

  • Many blocks contain items (e.g., tasks, milestones, media items) that you can also reorder and manage

  • Use the visibility toggle to show or hide a block or item

    • OFF = hidden from external customers, but still kept in the space so you can turn it on later

    • Visibility toggles can be controlled manually or automatically via content automation or workflows

6. Activity (Spaces Only)

In spaces, Valuecase tracks customer engagement so you can see what’s happening after sharing.

Examples of tracked activity:

  • Task and checklist completions

  • Form submissions

  • Video plays

  • File downloads

  • Workflow runs (when automations execute)

7. Settings (Templates and Spaces)

Settings exist in both templates and spaces, but some options vary.

In the Template Settings you find options to:

In the Space Settings you find options to manage:

8. AI Chat

AI Chat helps you build and edit faster using plain-language prompts.

It can:

  • Add pages and blocks

  • Update and rewrite content

  • Reorder content

  • Batch-edit multiple items

  • Let you undo changes
