Use a Gantt Chart block to show the timeline of one or more Action Plans. Tasks and dates stay connected to the original plans, so you can review and adjust the schedule in one place.
Add a Gantt chart
In a Space or Template, add a Gantt Chart block using the + button in the sidebar.
Open the block’s Source tab and select the Action Plans to include. You can drag the selected plans into the order you want.
Add dates to the tasks in those Action Plans. A due date places a task on the timeline; adding a start date gives it a duration.
The chart displays existing Action Plans. Create an Action Plan first if none are available to select.
Set and change task dates
Open a task and click its date field. To set a date range, switch on Start date, select the start and end dates, then save.
You can also adjust dates directly on a Space timeline:
Move a task: drag its bar to another date.
Change its duration: drag either edge of the bar.
Schedule an undated task: click an empty position in its timeline row, then resize the bar if needed.
Changes update the linked Action Plan. In Templates, set the task’s dates through its task settings.
Navigate the chart
Use the chart controls to switch between Days and Weeks, move backward or forward, return to today, or open the chart full screen. Expand or collapse milestones to show more or less detail. Click a visible task to open its details.
Settings
Choose the default view
Open the block’s Settings tab:
Milestones: start with milestones collapsed.
Tasks: start with milestones expanded.
Default Scale: choose Days or Weeks.
Control which tasks appear
Hidden Action Plans and milestones are excluded by default. In Settings, use:
Show hidden Action Plans to include selected hidden plans, including plans on hidden pages.
Show hidden Milestones to include hidden milestones within the displayed plans.
Content revealed through these switches can be viewed in the chart, but its task details cannot be opened or edited there. Action Plans on internal pages can only be linked to a chart that is also on an internal page.
Customer editing permissions
The chart follows each linked Action Plan’s customer editing permissions. Manage those permissions in the Action Plan; there is no separate permission setting for the Gantt chart.
