Show a Block or Page When a Task or Form Is Completed

Showing or unlocking a new block or page when a task, milestone, action plan, or form is completed

Written by Jan Niklas Wick

You can automatically reveal a hidden block or page in your Space once a customer completes a task, finishes a milestone, submits a form, or completes an entire action plan. This helps you guide customers through a structured journey without overwhelming them with information upfront.

This article shows how to set up page visibility automation. It's part of our Workflow engine - for all details go here.

How Block / Page Unlocking Works

Blocks / Pages controlled by automation are hidden by default. They remain invisible until the trigger condition is met; for example, when a specific task is marked as done or a form is submitted.

If you want to unlock multiple blocks / pages based on the same trigger, you can select them together in one workflow. If different triggers should unlock different blocks / pages, create separate workflows.

Setting Up a Block / Page Unlock Trigger

  1. Open the template you want to use and navigate to Settings (via the left-hand sidebar)

  2. Go to the Workflows tab

  3. Click "Add New Workflow" in the top-right corner and create a Workflow from Scratch

  4. Select any of the available triggers, e.g., Task completed

  5. Choose Show page(s) or Show Block(s) as the action.

  6. Select the block(s) / page(s) you want to unlock.

    • These blocks / pages are hidden until the automation runs.

  7. Save the workflow.

Optional: Notify the Customer When a Block / Page Unlocks

You can automatically show a notification when new content becomes available.
This notification appears as a small pop-up that the customer must acknowledge before continuing.

To enable it:

  1. In your workflow action, enable Show notification.

  2. Enter a custom message, e.g., “New content has been unlocked in your onboarding portal.”

Once the trigger event occurs, the notification appears and the newly unlocked block / page is revealed.
