Use Tasks to manage Action Plan tasks across your Valuecase Spaces. Find what is due, update dates and assignees, and plan your work in a table or calendar without opening each Space separately.
Open Tasks and choose a view
Click Tasks in the sidebar, or open the Tasks page. Use the views at the top to switch between saved setups. Open View options to choose a Table or Calendar layout.
The initial Due and Calendar views focus on Spaces you own. Check the active filters when you want to see a different set of tasks.
Find the tasks you need
Search by task name or Space name, then narrow your results with the filters.
Status: Choose Due, Upcoming, Without due date, Completed, All tasks or All open tasks. Due includes overdue tasks and tasks due today. Upcoming includes today and future due dates.
Owners: Filter by Space owner.
Assignee: Filter by internal task assignee.
Space creation: Show tasks from Spaces created in the last 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, or choose All time. This filter refers to when the Space was created, not the task’s due date.
You can find owner, assignee and Space creation filters under All filters. Active filters also appear in the toolbar.
Without due date shows the next open task without a due date in each Action Plan, based on the order of its tasks. Use the Table layout for these tasks; a task needs a due date to appear on the calendar.
Update tasks in the table
The table shows each task’s name, milestone, Space, last Space visit, due date and assignee. Click Due date or Last visit in the header to sort the results. Use the page controls at the bottom to browse more tasks.
Change dates: Click a task’s Due date cell to set or update its dates.
Change assignees: Click the Assignee cell to update who is responsible.
Complete or reopen: Hover over the task name and select Mark as Done or Reopen task. You can also select several rows and use Mark as Done to complete them together.
Open details: Click a task row to open its details panel. You can mark the task as done or reopen it, edit dates and assignees, read its description, and open existing attachments. Switch to Comments to read and add task comments. Use the open icon at the top of the panel to open the task in its Space, or the back button to return to the Space overview.
Changes made here update the same task in its Action Plan.
Plan work in the calendar
Switch to the Calendar layout to see dated tasks on their due dates. Use Display to choose Month or Week, and use the arrows or Today to move between dates. Turn on Hide weekends when you only want to see weekdays.
Drag a task to another day to change its due date. If you move it before its start date, the start date moves to the same day so the dates stay in order. Click a task to open its details.
The calendar uses the same search and task filters as the table. If a task is missing, check its due date, the displayed period, your filters and whether weekends are hidden.
Save views you use regularly
Save a view to return to a useful combination of filters, layout and display settings. For example, keep a table of your due tasks and a calendar for a particular owner.
Choose your filters and layout.
Click Add new view, enter a name and choose a layout. Alternatively, open the menu beside Save view and select Save as new view.
When you change an existing view, click Save view to keep the changes.
Use the edit control on a saved view to change its name or icon, duplicate it or set it as your default. Views are saved for your account.
See tasks in your calendar app
In the Calendar layout, click Sync calendar to subscribe to the selected view in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Save any changes to the view’s filters before subscribing.
The subscription is read-only: update tasks in Valuecase. Your calendar app controls how often it refreshes the feed, so changes may take time to appear.
