Subscribe to Valuecase tasks in your calendar

See tasks from a saved Valuecase view in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

See your Valuecase tasks alongside your other commitments in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. The subscription follows a saved task view, so you choose which tasks appear.

Set up your calendar subscription

  1. Open Tasks in the Valuecase dashboard and select a calendar view. To change a table view, open View options and choose Calendar under Layout.

  2. Set the filters for the tasks you want to include, such as the Space owner, assignee or task status.

  3. Save your view changes, then click Add to calendar.

In the Subscribe to calendar dialog, choose your calendar app:

  • Google Calendar: click Add to Google Calendar and complete the subscription in Google Calendar.

  • Outlook: click Add to Outlook and complete the subscription in Outlook.

  • Apple Calendar: click Copy beside Calendar feed URL. In Apple Calendar, choose File → New Calendar Subscription and paste the URL.

  • If the dialog shows an unsaved-changes notice, click Save changes. The feed follows the view’s last saved settings.

Which tasks appear?

Tasks appear as all-day events on their due dates, with a link back to the related Space.

  • The feed includes up to 500 tasks with due dates from one month ago to three months ahead.

  • Tasks without a due date are excluded.

  • The view’s saved filters determine which matching tasks are included.

Use the Status filter to control whether completed tasks appear: choose All open tasks to exclude completed tasks, Completed to show completed tasks, or All tasks to include both. Save the view after changing its filters.

Make task changes in Valuecase. Your calendar app retrieves the latest matching tasks when it refreshes the subscription - your calendar app controls how often it refreshes the feed. Changes made in the external calendar do not update tasks in Valuecase.

Manage your calendar link

Keep the calendar feed URL private. Anyone with the link can view the tasks included in the feed.

To replace the link, open the same view, click Sync calendar, then click Reset link. The old link stops working. Subscribe again using the new link if you want to continue receiving updates.

To stop displaying the tasks, remove the subscription in your calendar app. Resetting a link does not necessarily remove events already cached by your calendar app.
