Archiving Spaces

Archive a space to stop customers from accessing it. If needed you can always activate the space again, or delete it after some time.

Archiving a space is like a soft deletion: the space is hidden from customers and no longer accessible via its link. If someone visits an archived space link, they’ll see a message that the space is outdated and to reach out for updated info. You’ll also get an activity notification when this happens.

How to archive

You can archive a space in three places:

  1. Space list: click the three-dot menu next to a space → Archive space

  2. Space sidebar (from the space list): click the three-dot menu at the top → Archive space

  3. Inside the space: Settings → General settings → Archive space

Unarchive (activate again)

To activate an archived space again, open the space list, filter for Archived, then select the space and unarchive it.

Archive vs. Delete

Spaces can also be deleted, but once deleted, they’re gone. As a habit, archive first and only delete when you’re certain you won’t need the space anymore.
