Valuecase allows you to create internal links that point to a specific block or task inside a template. This is useful for building structured navigation experiences — like table of contents, redirect buttons, or cross-references between content sections.

These links remain dynamic and are automatically updated when a new space is generated from the template. If the linked element is deleted or hidden, both you and your customer will be notified with a helpful message.

You can add these links in two places:

  • Inside any rich text block using the link editor

  • Inside Action Plan tasks as a quick action

Use Internal Links in a Text Block

To add a link to a block or task directly inside any text field:

  1. Select the text you want to turn into a link

  2. Click the link icon in the formatting toolbar

  3. In the link popover, switch to the “Block / Task” tab

  4. Choose the page the block is on

  5. Select the block, and optionally the task if you're linking into an Action Plan

  6. Click Add Link

The link will now work in any space created from this template.

Add Internal Link as a Task Quick Action

You can also link directly to another block or task from a quick action button inside an Action Plan.

  1. Open the Action Plan and click on a task

  2. Click “+” next to Quick Actions

  3. Select “Go to Block / Task”

  4. Choose the page, block, and optionally the task

  5. Click OK to save

Now, when your customer clicks the button in the space, they’ll jump directly to the linked block or task.

What Happens If the Linked Block Is Deleted or Hidden?

Internal links are automatically monitored for validity. If the target block or page is no longer available you will see a warning message like “Link not available”

Can I link across templates?
No - Internal links only work within the same template.
