Valuecase MCP connects your AI assistant to your Valuecase workspace. You can review customer Spaces, create and edit Spaces and Templates, manage tasks and properties, and work with comments and form submissions directly from your AI tool.
This article explains what the Valuecase MCP server can do, how to connect it, and how to refresh an existing connection.
What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that lets AI tools connect to external systems in a secure and structured way.
With the Valuecase MCP server, your AI assistant can use selected Valuecase tools on your behalf. Access is only granted after you sign in with your Valuecase account and approve the requested permissions.

This is useful for customer briefings, pipeline reviews, onboarding handovers, follow-up preparation, and identifying Spaces that require attention.

Create new Spaces from Templates
Check which properties are required before creating a Space
Update Space Properties and Internal Properties
Add or invite stakeholders
Archive Spaces
Permanently deleting Spaces is not available through the MCP server.
Build and Edit Space Content
Ask your assistant to personalize an existing Space or build out a new one. It can:
Create pages and add content blocks
Edit existing text, links, Action Plans, Gantt Charts, Form questions and other supported block content
Reorder pages, blocks and items, or remove selected content
Search your Asset Library and add existing library content to a Space
Show or hide supported content
For example, give your assistant a meeting transcript and ask it to update the welcome text, add the agreed next steps and include the relevant resources. Be specific about which Space and sections to change.
Manage Action Plan Tasks
Your AI assistant can:
Review action plans and tasks
Mark tasks as completed
Change task due dates
For example, you can ask your assistant to find overdue tasks, update their due dates, or mark completed work as done.

Add new comments
Reply to existing discussions
Mention users with real

Mentioned users receive the same notification they would receive when mentioned directly in Valuecase.
Create, Review and Edit Templates

List available Templates
Review Template content
Check which properties are required when creating a Space
Help select the appropriate Template for a specific use case
Create a new Template or duplicate an existing one
Create and edit its pages, blocks and content
Add content from your Asset Library
Set content visibility rules in Templates based on supported properties
Templates are reusable internal blueprints. Use them for content that should be shared across future Spaces, and keep customer-specific information in the individual Space.
What to Manage in Valuecase
Use the Valuecase interface to configure Workflows, branding, integrations, custom property definitions and sharing settings. To use a new file or image through MCP, upload it to the Asset Library in Valuecase first, then ask your assistant to add the library item.
The MCP can remove selected content such as pages or blocks, and archive Spaces. It cannot permanently delete an entire Space.
How to connect
To connect Valuecase through MCP, you need:
Admin access in Valuecase
An MCP-compatible client, such as Claude or ChatGPT
In some tools (e.g., Claude Team or Enterprise workspaces), an owner or admin may need to add the connector before individual users can connect their own Valuecase account.
Connect Valuecase in Claude
Open Claude, go to the Claude Directory and search for Valuecase
Click Connect and sign in with your Valuecase account
Review the requested permissions and approve access
Enable the Valuecase connector in your Claude conversation. Once connected, Claude can use the approved Valuecase tools in conversations where the connector is enabled.
(optional) After connecting, head over to Customize -> Connectors -> Valuecase to review your default Tool permissions
Connect Valuecase in ChatGPT
Go to the ChatGPT App Marketplace
In ChatGPT, go to Workspace Settings → Apps (or to Settings → Apps to only enable the connector for yourself), and search for 'Valuecase'. Click Connect
Authenticate your Valuecase Account
Click 'Sign in with Valuecase' and 'allow access' in the tab that opens.
The connection is established and you can start working with Valuecase through ChatGPT.
Connect Valuecase in Another MCP-Compatible Client
Use the following server URL: https://mcp.valuecase.com/mcp
If your client asks for a transport type, select: Streamable HTTP
If your client asks for an authentication method, select: OAuth
Do not add access tokens, API keys, or user credentials to the URL.

“Use this meeting transcript to update the ACME Space. Personalize the welcome section, add the agreed next steps to the Action Plan and add our implementation guide from the Asset Library. Keep the rest of the Space as it is.”
Create a new space
“Create a new Valuecase space for John Doe from ACME using the enterprise onboarding template. First check which properties are required and ask me for anything missing.”
Prepare follow-ups
“Find spaces with overdue customer tasks. Draft a polite follow-up message for each customer and include the relevant Valuecase space link. Do not send the emails.”
Review templates
“List our available Valuecase templates and summarize which use cases each one supports. Highlight templates that are suitable for onboarding, enterprise sales, or renewals.”
Find spaces by owner
“Show me active spaces owned by Sarah that were updated in the last 30 days. Group them by template and include the current status, customer name, and recommended next action.”
💡 Tips for Better Results: When prompting your AI assistant, include as much context as possible. Useful details include: Time range, such as “last 7 days” or “since Monday”, Customer or company name, Template name, Owner, etc

Security and Privacy
Only connect Valuecase to AI clients and external systems you trust. The connected AI client can use the approved Valuecase tools on your behalf.
Review tool approvals carefully, especially for actions that:
Create or archive Spaces
Update tasks or properties
Add stakeholders
Publish comments or mentions
Valuecase MCP supports archiving Spaces but does not provide an action for permanently deleting them.
