AI Chat connectors let you connect external tools like Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, HubSpot, and custom MCP tools to Valuecase.
Once connected, the Valuecase AI Chat can use selected external data and actions while helping you work on a Space. For example, it can summarize a meeting transcript from Google Drive, draft a follow-up email in Gmail, create a calendar event after your approval, or use HubSpot context to prepare a customer update.
Enable Connectors For Your Organization
An admin can enable or disable AI Chat connectors for the whole organization.
Go to Administration > Privacy & Security.
Make sure AI Tools & OpenAI Data processing or AI Writing Assistant is enabled.
Turn on Create with AI connectors enabled.
This setting is enabled by default, but admins can turn it off at any time.
Supported Connectors
AI Chat currently supports Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, HubSpot and custom MCP connectors.
Gmail has access to your mailbox and can create drafts
Google Drive can read files such as meeting transcripts.
Google Calendar can be used to create calendar events after approval.
HubSpot can be used through available HubSpot MCP tools, for example to work with CRM context.
Custom MCP connectors let your team add an approved MCP server by URL and choose which tools AI Chat is allowed to use.
Connect A Connector In AI Chat
To connect a service, open AI Chat in a Space or Template and click Connectors next to the message box. Choose the service you want to connect, click Connect, then sign in and approve the requested permissions.
After the connection is complete, make sure the connector switch is turned on. AI Chat can only use connectors that are connected and enabled in the current AI Chat context.
‼️ Accessing Gmail or Google Drive connectors requires an extra security step. After clicking connect, confirm the access request. We will unlock access within 24 hours. Once access has been unlocked, return to AI Chat, open Connectors, and click Connect again to complete the connection with your Google account.
Approval For Gmail And Calendar Actions
AI Chat asks for approval before taking certain write actions.
For Gmail, AI Chat can create a draft only after you approve it. It never sends emails directly. For Google Calendar, AI Chat can create events only after you approve the action in AI Chat.
You can approve or reject these actions directly in the conversation.
Example Use Cases
Use connectors when you want AI Chat to work with information outside of Valuecase.
For example, AI Chat can pull a meeting transcript from Google Drive, summarize key points, and turn them into next steps in a Space.
It can draft a customer follow-up email based on a Space, meeting notes, or mutual action plan and save it as a Gmail draft.
It can create a Google Calendar event from agreed next steps, or use HubSpot context to prepare a CRM update based on what happened in the Space.
You can also connect approved MCP tools to bring other internal systems into your AI Chat workflow.
Tips For Better Results
When asking AI Chat to use a connector, mention the connector, the customer or company, the relevant time range, and the output you want.
For example:
“Use the latest Google Drive meeting transcript for ACME, summarize blockers and action items, then update the mutual action plan in this Space. Do not draft an email yet.”
Clear prompts help AI Chat choose the right source, use the right tool, and prepare the right output.
