There’s currently no direct “duplicate” or “clone” space function in Valuecase. Instead, we use templates — the backbone of how Valuecase is designed to scale collaboration and analytics.
However, you can achieve a very similar outcome by saving a space as a template.
✅ How to replicate a space
If you want to reuse a space structure (e.g. layout, content, tasks, workflows):
Go to your Space list in the dashboard
Scroll to the right and click the three-dot menu next to the space
Select “Save as template”
Then create a new space from that template
This will carry over most elements — including content blocks, tasks, and workflows.
❗What’s not included when saving as a template?
Templates do not copy space-specific data like:
Stakeholders
Stakeholder-specific task assignments
This is by design: Stakeholders are unique to each customer interaction and are intended to be defined per space.
💡 Pro tip: Use stakeholder placeholders
You can still make stakeholder assignment more efficient by setting up placeholder roles in your templates.
For example:
Assign a task to “IT Department” in your template
When creating a new space, go to Stakeholder Settings
Replace “IT Department” with a real person once
➝ All related task assignments will auto-update
This lets you keep your templates flexible but also reduce repetition when working with similar setups.
