How to connect Salesforce to Valuecase - as a user
To use the Salesforce integration and connect your Salesforce account to Valuecase, you only need to complete a few steps:
Click on 'Connect my tools' after clicking on your profile picture in the Dashboard. All available integrations are displayed here.
Click on the 'Connect' button next to Salesforce. You will be redirected to the Salesforce login page. Simply log in with your Salesforce account.
And that's it! In Valuecase, the blue 'Connect' button next to Salesforce will change to a green 'Connected' button once your Salesforce account is linked to Valuecase.
How to link a Salesforce opportunity when creating a new Valuecase space:
After clicking on the "+ Create New Space" button in the Spaces home menu, a window will open allowing you to connect your space to Salesforce. You can now choose from four types of Salesforce objects:
Opportunities
Cases
Accounts
Contacts
Use the tabs at the top of the window to switch between object types. Once you've selected the relevant object (e.g., an Opportunity or a Case), it will be linked to your new Valuecase space.
If you don't want to connect your space to Salesforce at this stage, simply click "Skip" in the bottom-right corner to proceed without linking.
For organizations requiring synchronization with additional or custom Salesforce entities, this can easily be accommodated through Valuecase Integration Settings.
As a Valuecase admin, navigate to 'API & Custom Apps Admin settings', click on 'Configure' next to Salesforce.
At the top of the appearing popup you will find 'Object types to sync to'. In addition to the 4 standard objects we sync with, you can select your custom objects. Click Save to confirm.

Where to find your linked Valuecase space in Salesforce?
Valuecase spaces linked to Salesforce opportunities can also be accessed through your Salesforce account. This brief guide will show you how:
Within the Salesforce opportunity, your linked Valuecase space is displayed under 'Notes and Attachments' ('Notizen und Anhänge').
By clicking on the Valuecase URL, a new window will open up in which the Valuecase space details are displayed.
If you click on the link under 'text', you will forwarded to your linked Valuecase space. Now you can always easily stay on top of each of your sales activities!
